NEW Murder Mystery Events


We are excited to share a new offering at The Firehouse Inn. We are introducing Murder Mystery Weekend packages with various themes including Masquerade Ball, Roaring 20s and an 1800s themed English scandal. Each weekend will be packed full of murder, mystery and fun!

Bookmark this page for a list of upcoming events. Some will be full weekend events and some will be single night events. You DO NOT have to stay at The Firehouse Inn to participate, but it is encouraged. 

All participants are invited to dress the part if they wish and join in the fun while playing one of the characters however, this IS NOT required. You can choose to come and just participate in the detective work and help us find the culprit.

Click on one of the events below to register, see event details and purchase tickets.  Secure your spot early as they do usually sell out. Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred.

Anniversary Black Tie Dinner

100th Anniversary Roaring 20's Celebration
Join us as we celebrate our historic building turning 100! The building has served our community well, acting as a Town Hall, then a firehouse, and finally our beautiful inn. Join us as we take a walk through the history of Rutherfordton and The Firehouse in true 1920s style. Friday will be a 1920s Gatsby-themed murder mystery with cocktails and finger foods. Help us find the killer, every guest is a suspect and it is up to you to figure out who did it. Note - This event can only be purchased as a combined ticket for the entire 100th celebration weekend.

Book Signing with Lee Newton - FREE Event
Lee Newton - songwriter, singer and now author will be joining us at Firehouse Inn for an intimate book signing and reading from her new book "The Cab Driver's Daughter". This is a heart-warming, inspiring story about her Dad and the influence he had in her life. There will be books on had for you to purchase or you can bring your own. We will start with a short reading from the book and then Lee will be around until 9pm to sign books and meet her fans. If you have an album of hers you want signed, feel free to bring that too. Don't forget to check out our Concert for a Cause with Lee on Saturday night. It's gonna be a great weekend at The Firehouse Inn.

Concert for a Cause: Lee Newton Live at The Firehouse Inn Join us for an unforgettable evening of country music, community, and giving back! 📅 Friday, November 22 🕖 7:00 PM 📍 The Firehouse Inn, Rutherfordton, NC Enjoy an intimate live performance by Lee Newton, award-nominated country singer, songwriter, and author, whose heartfelt storytelling and powerhouse vocals have captivated audiences across the nation. All proceeds from this special concert will benefit the Rutherfordton Fire Department, supporting the brave men and women who keep our community safe. Lee Newton won Inspirational Country Songwriter of the Year and Traditional Country Female Vocalist of the Year at the recent Infiniti Film & Music Awards. She has been nominated for eight Josie Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Homesick), Vocalist of the Year (Traditional Country), and Songwriter Achievement honors.
